(May 15, 2024 – Euless, TX) The first inning showed signs of life but the remainder of the game turned into an extinction event for the Spirits (40+) squad as #SheGone once again coasted to an easy, 10 to 1 victory in DFW-ABA 40 League play.
The Spirits scattered just 6 hits on the game with Cliff Brade, Eric McPherson, Kent Fischer, Mike Sopocy, Shawn Hunt, and Stacy Scott each reaching safely. Brade scored once and stole a base while Sopocy added the team’s lone run batted in.
Jason Garza finished 4-for-4 with 2 runs scored and 3 runs batted in for #SheGone. Justin Hatcher added a 3-for-4 night with a pair of doubles, a run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
Jonathan Duran takes the loss for the ghosts, throwing for 6 innings while allowing just 5 earned off of 12 hits, while walking and striking out one. Scott closed out the last inning for the Spirits.
