Relentless Offense Leads to Big Win Over Wildcats

(April 11, 2026 – Carrollton, TX) Seems an offensive feast was in order and sitting as the head of the table was first baseman, Brian Kellner. Keller and his teammates pulverized Wildcats pitching Saturday morning as Kellner led the team with 3 hits and accounted for 8 of the team’s 16 runs as he scored 3 times and knocked in 5 runs to help the Spirits (50+) squad cruise to a 16 to 3 victory.

Dee Mauldin finished 3-for-4 and added 4 runs scored while Kent Fischer added a triple as part of his two hits along with 3 runs scored and 3 runs batted in. Kevin Simmons added two hits including a double along with a run scored and 3 runs batted in, while Kirk Sipila also added 2 hits and a double, scored 3 times, walked once, and batted in a run as well. Altogether, the Spirits finished with 16 hits on the day.

Only two Spirits hitters finished without a hit and only two finished with just one hit as the team saw 6 different hitters finished the day with 2 or more hits.

Stacy Scott picked up the win on the mound with a complete-game mercy-rule victory, tossing for 5 innings and allowing 3 earned off 7 hits while walking one and striking out 7.

Dane Shillan and Brent Write each finished with 2 hits on the day for the Wildcats.
