Dee Mauldin appeared in two games for the Spirits (50+) squad in 2022, finishing a perfect 3-for-3, with 2 singles, a double, and a base-on-balls. Following a return from injury, Mauldin looked to have a much larger role with the team heading into 2024 and after offseason surgery, a bigger role in 2025.
Despite a shoulder injury that required replacement surgery, Mauldin still found a way to play an integral role on offense, almost always finishing with multiple hits per game. Even with a limited or no ability to throw the baseball, he’s also served at first base and found a way to compete, and that role has increased as he continues to build strength in his throwing arm.
Dee attended Lakeview High School in Garland, Texas and attended college at Oklahoma Christian University (Edmond, OK) & Southwest Texas State University (San Marcos, TX). He’s played baseball since the age of 4, making it 50 years playing the game he loves.
Mauldin is a veteran of the United States Air Force as a Combat Meteorologist and he lives in Rowlett, Texas with his wife, Mary. If you ask him what he loves to do, he’ll tell you, “I fish and play baseball…and I’m good at both of them!”
