Clifford Brade

Clifford Brade returns to the Dallas Spirits as a savvy lead-off hitter and experienced outfielder with a great arm. Outside a variety of athletic ability he brought to the Dallas Spirits Baseball Club in his rookie season during 2016, Cliff will continue his role as the Spirits (35+) lead-off hitter. Brade was also the lead-off hitter for the Spirits (18+) squad during 2017 and 2018.

Cliff batted .343 for the Spirits (18+) squad and led his team with 29 stolen bases in 2017. He finished second on the team with 24 hits, including 5 doubles and led the team with 26 runs scored. His numbers were good enough for a 2017 All-Star vote and selection for the NTABL Open American League All-Star Game held at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. On the Spirits (35+) squad, Brade finished with a .426 average and third on the team with 17 hits. Cliff also led the team with 28 runs scored and 21 stolen bases, finishing with a total of 50 stolen bases on two NTABL teams.

During 2018, Cliff hit .291 for the Spirits (35+) squad finishing with 14 hits, 2 doubles and a team-leading 21 runs scored. Brade also led the team with 21 stolen bases. For the Spirits (18+) squad, Brade hit .250 and finished the season with 15 hits and 11 stolen bases while playing in the premiere baseball league in Dallas/Fort Worth. A solid effort for seeing pitching at 90+ nearly every game. Cliff was voted an All-Star by his teammates in 2018 and once again appeared with the team at Dr. Pepper Ballpark for the NTABL festivities.

Brade was first picked up from the Caddo Reds Fall baseball club back in 2016 and he brings a great bat alongside exceptional speed on the base paths and in the outfield defensively. Cliff has a  great arm and he can be counted upon to throw out runners when needed. He quickly earned the lead off spot in 2016 with his good decision-making at the dish, as well as providing some quick hands and solid hitting which a team requires at the top of the order. On top of that, his speed on the base paths make him an easy RBI for other Spirits hitters and the teams rely on his ability to score.

Brade’s impact has become immediate as he’s quickly become a stat leader in runs and stolen bases. Clifford hails from McDade, TX. He studied Civil Engineering at Texas A&M University and also spent time at Texas Lutheran University and his early days at Elgin High School in Elgin, TX. He has a brother, Joseph and sister, Melany and he currently resides in Dallas, TX.
