Big Second and Fifth Innings Help Spirits (45+) Route Hurricanes

(June 15, 2026 – Coppell, TX) The offense wasn’t often but in the two innings it occurred it went big and helped the Spirits (45+) squad coast to a 10 to 0 win over the Hurricanes on Monday night.

Jonathan Duran picked up the victory on the mound, holding Hurricanes hitters to just 5 scattered hits while walking and striking out 2. Duran also finished with a single, run scored, run batted in, and a stolen base to aid his own cause on the offensive side. Cliff Brade continued to scorch the Masters Division with another 3-hit game, adding 2 runs scored, a run batted in, and 3 stolen bases on the night. Dee Mauldin finished 2-for-3, adding a run scored and a pair of runs batted in, while Eric Goetz added a 2-for-2 performance, finishing with a run scored and a run batted in while also swiping 3 bags of his own.

The victory increases the gap between the Dallas Spirits (45+) squad and the remaining teams in the division as the club makes a turn to close out the regular season before heading into the playoffs as the number one seed.

The Spirits return to action next Monday night when they host the Knights on Cowboy Field at 8:45PM. Fans can click here for schedule details.
