Teddy Croft

Teddy Croft returns to the Spirits Open (18+) squad giving the team an athletic edge in any position he plays. Croft is a versatile player, covering positions including catcher, second and third base, as well as offering relief pitching when needed.

Croft is a Dallas, TX native who comes from some baseball pedigree. His father attended Texas A&M University, where he played catcher until injury ended his career and his mother attended TCU. Croft lettered as a Sophomore, primarily as a relief pitcher or DH for Coppell High School and stayed in that role until his Senior season, where he started full time at second base while also providing relief from the mound.

Teddy made the full time switch to catcher with Trinity University in San Antonio, TX where he played for two years until a back injury forced him to retire to focus on getting healthy. Although his college and post-high school career came to an end, he continued to catch while playing summer baseball. Turner was voted as a 2017 All-Star and finished third on the Spirits (18+) squad in 2017, hitting .512 while finishing fourth with 22 hits, and third in extra base hits with 6.

Croft is a single-digit handicap golfer, avid weightlifter, and he’s currently employed as a Financial Analyst for Studio Movie Grill in Dallas, Texas.  He also enjoys going to the lake in his free time, alongside spending time with his girlfriend, Mary.
