During his stint in high school, Nutt set school season records in hits, RBIs and runs scored.

Competitive in several leagues in the Dallas area, the Spirits recruited Nutt for his versatility on the field where he plays a number of positions defensively, and for a solid bat to assist the team on offense.

He spent 15 years coaching his son in baseball, and once is son graduated high school, Steven started playing with NTABL and DFW-ABA teams beginning in 2018. He was voted as an All-Star for the NTABL All-Star games at Dr. Pepper Ballpark (RoughRiders Ballpark) in Frisco, Texas in each season he’s played, including being named the NTABL (45+) All-Star game MVP in 2022. Additionally, he’s played tournament baseball in both 2021 and 2022 with the (50+) Yankees squad from Albany, New York in the MSBL Fall Classic hosted in West Palm Beach. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Nutt moved to Corsicana, Texas in 2014 to become a CFO with Community National Bank & Trust of Texas. Steven is a huge Atlanta Braves fan from the lean years in the 70’s and 80’s, to the dynasty years of the ’90s, and to the current young team with 5 straight division titles, and a World Series championship. He’s also an Atlanta Hawks and an Atlanta Falcons fan but he feels there’s not near as much to cheer about with those particular clubs.

Steven and his wife Suzanne have been married for 5 years and the couple has six kids between them including, Derek 23, Avery 20, Callan 18, Hayden 29, Katie 23 and Anna 22. His family lives in Corsicana, Texas. In addition to working as a CFO, Steven is a member of the 1340AM KAND Radio Team providing color and play-by-play calls of the Corsicana High School Tigers baseball team. Nutt grew up the youngest of 3 brothers and a dad that was a huge baseball fan, and a mom that loved it just as much which allowed him to be on the ball field since the day he was born.
