Shawn Lee enters his twelfth NTABL season and fourth DFW-ABA season, while returning in his eleventh season as the Dallas Spirits Baseball President and Club Manager. Shawn manages the Spirits (45+), Spirits (50+), and Fall Ball squads, and serves as the Spirits (40+) co-manager.
A natural leader, Shawn provides great organization to the ball club and is well respected between his teammates and throughout both leagues. Lee grew up in Wisconsin and played baseball most of his childhood through the age of 18, where he peaked in Legion play. He had a brief stint of amateur baseball following high school before focusing on the camaraderie of local softball leagues for the next 20 years. After making his migration to Dallas in 2011, Lee discovered the NTABL and rejoined the game that he loves.
Shawn saw a successful return season and batting a average above the .300 mark. He’s been voted to play in numerous All-Star games in both the NTABL and DFW-ABA, including five consecutive All-Star appearances (2013-2017) at Dr. Pepper Ball Park in Frisco, TX.
He’s a solid hitter with power to go deep, providing clutch hitting and speed used both on the base paths, as well as tracking down of balls in the outfield. A competitive defender, you can count on a few great throws or relays leading to put-outs on greedy opposing runners.
