Patrick Bilgere

Patrick Bilgere continues to be one of the club’s hardest hitters following an outstanding 2018 season and a solid 2019 season. Patrick is a utility man, capable of playing solid at any position including positions around the infield and since the 2016 season, acting as both the Spirits (35+) and Spirits (45+) starting catcher.

Patrick brings clutch hitting and solid game knowledge to the ball club and can be relied upon for game scenario decisions as well as assisting in coaching when needed. Patrick hit .387 with 12 hits for the Spirits (35+) during 2017 and added a .361 average with 13 hits for the Spirits (45+) squad. Patrick tied for second on the Spirits (45+) squad with 13 runs scored, added 2 doubles and a triple to his resume, and finished third on the team with 12 runs batted in. 2018 was a different story altogether for Bilgere as he showcased his talent by being voted to both the NTABL (35+) and (45+) All-Star teams.

Patrick finished fourth on the Spirits (40+) squad in 2019 while batting .417. He was fourth on the team in hits with 20 and he finished with 3 doubles and 14 runs batted in (3rd). he also played in 13 games with the Spirits (35+) squad and finished the season with a .265 average with 9 hits and 8 runs batted in. Bilgere rarely leaves runners on base and his RBI totals are evident that he wastes very few opportunities with runners in scoring position. Patrick finished the Fall campaign with a .478 average, finishing fourth on the team with 11 hits, while compiling another 6 runs batted in and rounding up his 2019 season with an All-Star selection to the NTABL All-Star Games played at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco, Texas.

Bilgere’s experience includes experience playing at both Bishop Lynch and Richardson Berkner High School and later went on to play at the college level performing as a two-time All-Conference player. He stepped his game to the next level spending two years professionally playing in the Austrian Baseball League with the St. Peter Wild Boys as well as the Tullen Ravens. He also spent time as a high school coach at Jesuit College Preparatory in Dallas (5 years), and also with John Horn High School in Mesquite (2 years).

Home grown here in Dallas, Patrick and his wife Jennifer welcomed their new daughter, Flora to the world in 2018. The happy and newly-extended family reside with their 3 sons Joey, Jack and Payton in downtown Dallas, TX.
