Jack Nash rejoins the Spirits after last playing during the 2019 season. He enters in his fourth season and keeps his outgoing personality rolling with the Dallas Spirits (50+) team. The Spirits acquired Nash during a practice session at DBAT in Addison, TX, where the found the hard-hitting father and coach ripping the covers off several cage baseballs in 2017.
Jack has a great personality and attitude, and is capable of playing a number of different positions when called upon. He comes with some college pedigree and possesses a great bat and love for the game. His background and experience as both a player and coach provides the Spirits with some added knowledge and depth. Jack is also a board member and director of the Dallas Spirits Baseball Club, Inc.
Nash made notable improvements during the 2018 championship campaign, finishing first on the team with 21 runs batted in and fifth on the team with a .420 batting average. Jack finished fifth in hits with 21 and finished the season with 6 doubles and also tied for second in stolen bases with 12 bags swiped. Jack was also fifth on the squad with 17 runs scored and made his first All-Star appearance at Dr. Pepper Ballpark after being voted to the All-Star team by his teammates.
During the 2019 campaign, Jack hit .208 and had several instances where hits made a big difference in games. He finished with 6 RBIs in just 24 plate appearance, and walked 10 times, good for third on the team. His patience at the plate, combined with solid play and a solid glove in the infield will prove vital for the Spirits (50+) squad at the make their debut in the DFW-ABA 50+ League for 2022.
Jack resides in Frisco, Texas with his wife and three sons, and plays a large role in the Dallas area coaching and managing the youth baseball.
