Eric Reifschneider

A late bloomer to the adult baseball scene, Eric Reifschneider has more than made up for lost time with hustle, smarts, and a versatile glove. A St. Louis native, Eric grew up without high school baseball, instead channeling his competitive fire into gymnastics, where he became a four-year varsity starter, two-time captain, and MVP at MIT. He also briefly played Division III baseball for the Engineers, retiring with a .400 batting average—albeit in just five plate appearances—after a misadventure in the outfield cut short his collegiate diamond career.

After years of coaching youth baseball and excelling professionally as a corporate lawyer and licensing executive, Eric reignited his playing days at 40 by attending an Oakland A’s Fantasy Camp. That decision launched a second baseball life, including 19 MLB fantasy camps (and counting), multiple MVP honors, a complete game shutout in Cooperstown, and induction into the St. Louis Cardinals Fantasy Camp Hall of Fame in 2022.

Since relocating to Dallas in 2016 and joining the local baseball scene in 2018, Eric has become a key contributor to every roster he joins. Drafted by the Hurricanes (45+), he helped lead them to league championships in 2018 and 2019. Known as a utility player who’s willing to play anywhere, Eric is respected not just for his field awareness but for being a true teammate—one who dives, grinds, and keeps spirits high no matter the scoreboard.

A veteran of eight All-Star appearances, Eric joined the Spirits for the Arizona tournament in 2023 and returned in 2024 before becoming a full-time fixture of the Spirits 50+ squad in 2025.

Off the field, Eric serves as a senior executive at Avanci in Dallas, having previously worked in Silicon Valley on high-profile deals—including the sale of the Los Angeles Dodgers to a group led by Magic Johnson. His dream jobs? Major League Baseball player… or James Bond.

Eric brings a championship mindset wherever he goes and has the scars to prove it—playing through a fractured nose, separated shoulder, and other dings and dents along the way. Ask any of the retired MLB legends he’s taken the field with, and they’ll tell you the same thing: Eric Reifschneider is a gamer.
