David Delk

David Delk joins the Dallas Spirits Fall Ball (Brazos) squad as a hard-hitting first baseman and outfielder. Delk was born in Wichita, KS, but lived in Tucson, AZ since he was 4 years old, so he considers Tuscon as his hometown. He recently moved to Frisco, TX in May of this year and really loves it here thus far. His high school experience includes action at Sunnyside High School in Tucson, AZ where he lettered in baseball during the years of 1984-1988. He played both OF and 1B and ended his high school career as a 2-time American Legion State Champion in both 1988 and 1989.

David went on to play at the college level, joining the Pima Community College Fall Team in 1991 (Tucson, AZ) and then transferred to Sterling College in Sterling, KS where her was the starting center fielder.

He’s obtained experience at the MSBL level as well, playing in Tucson, AZ since 1998 as well as obtaining experience in the Tucson City Baseball League prior to that. Delk is a huge Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Royals fan and has a daughter named Dallas, who is in the Army National Guard and lives in Pittsburgh, PA. His son, Tyler is an eighth grader that also plays baseball and is a talented, switch-hitting shortstop. He and his wife, Renee have been married for 23 years.
