Chris Lewis returns for his tenth season of play and as one of the team’s best contact hitters. Expect Lewis to provide an offensive impact to each game he plays in. A solid utility player, Lewis can play nearly any position. You’ll typically find him at first base or playing some infield at second base if he’s not catching, but he’s also very capable of playing in the outfield. More often than not, the team relies on his batting contributions for clutch hitting and needed offense in any game scenario or tournament.
In 2017, Lewis hit .317 with the Spirits (35+) over the season, finishing with 13 hits and 11 RBIs. For the Masters (45+) squad, Lewis batted .292, fourth on the team with 14 hits, and second on the squad with 13 RBIs. In 2018, Lewis finished second on the Spirits (45+) team after batting .500 on the season. Chris was voted to his first NTABL All-Star game by his teammates after finishing third on the squad with 24 hits, which included 4 doubles and 2 triples. His numbers were good for third overall in 32 total bases and he finished fourth on the squad with 18 runs scored and fourth on the team with 16 runs batted. He also swiped 7 bags. During the 2019 campaign, Lewis hit .360, finishing third on the team with 8 RBIs on the Spirits (35+) squad. For Fall Ball, Lewis hit .450 with 9 hits and another 6 runs batted in. Lewis finished with a .259 average for the Spirits (35+) squad in 2020 and for the Spirits (40+), Chris hit .200 in limited action.
In 2021, Lewis hit .382 with 4 extra base hits, including 3 doubles and a triple. He finished with 9 runs scored, added a pair of sacrifice flies and hit-by-pitches alongside a pair of walks, and added 11 runs batted in, good for fourth on the team.
Lewis loves to travel and to play in tournaments and annually visits the World Series in Phoenix, Arizona. In 2015, he had the opportunity to face legend Roger Clemons as well as a variety of other talented players during game play. Lewis also plays a leading role in assisting the club in fundraising and team sponsorship. Lewis works in Finance for an automotive company and currently resides in Mansfield, TX.
