(August 26, 2016 – Dallas, TX) What seemed to be a decent start for the Spirits (45+) Monday night turned into a full implosion and frankly, an embarrassment as they fell to the DFW Hurricanes 9 to 1 at Reverchon Park in Uptown. The squad left 12 runners on base and tallied 8 different errors to assist the ‘Canes in the beat down.
Kirk Sipila and Randy Brittain managed the only two hits for the Spirits, and despite sending 10 runners to first base for free due to base on balls, the team was unable to put together any bit of offense. They were however, offensive, to the point where the game literally got comical. Sipila was unavailable for comment following the team’s loss.
The team returns to action Monday night in the regular season finale as they host the Dallas Bulls at Reverchon Park in Uptown, Dallas. First pitch is at 6:30PM.
