Anthony Osburn

The Dallas Spirits welcome the return Anthony Osburn from the Spirits (50+) squad in 2023 to now joining the (40+) playing on Wednesday nights. Osburn essentially plays any position, with the exception of catcher. Osburn played a key role pitching and hitting during the Spirits (50+) Fall Ball run to the DFW-ABA crown in 2024, shutting down the White Sox in the late innings as the team came back to win and eventually went on to win the crown.

Osburn’s high school experience comes by way of Rio Americano HS in Sacramento, California where he earned MVP honors during his senior year. Anthony went on to play two years at Cosumnes River Junior College, where his team was 1986 Bay Valley Champions. He spent an additional two years at UC Davis, where he earned the Low ERA Award in 1988, also picking up the most saves and most wins as a pitcher.

Anthony played in men’s leagues after finishing college. He was born in Sacramento, California and moved to the Dallas area in July, 2021 after his wife retired in California from teaching. His son (33), played D3 baseball and ice hockey at Worcester State in Massachusetts. Osburn has 3 grandchildren; 6, 3, and 11 months, and his been married to his wife since September, 1989.
