Dennis Gonzalez enters his fourth season with the Dallas Spirits. As one of the team’s left-handers, Gonzalez is relied upon for solid outfielding skills as well as clutch hitting. Dennis typically roams in RF and demonstrates solid power at times at the plate.
“Gonzo,” as his teammates refer to him, brings a great sense of humor to the dugout alongside a positive attitude and demeanor both on and off the field of play. Gonzalez batted .371 in 2017, finishing sixth in hits with 12. Dennis also added 8 RBI during the 2017 campaign, drawing 3 free passes to first, and also stole 2 bases.
Dennis works in communications and the team misses his presence each season during the NBA Finals as he travels to each game and city providing communications for the teams and the league. Gonzalez is an import from Southern California and he resides in Lucas, TX with his beautiful wife, Laura and one of their remaining two Golden Retrievers. RIP “Lasorda.”
