Spirits Social

We're far behind on game stories, but we promise you'll see each and every one of them. This one is the last one, so the pieces that got us here will be posted soon. However, the Spirits are your 2021 North Texas Amateur Baseball Foundation - NTABL Masters League Champions!!!Sean House took home MVP honors, picking up his second championship, complete-game victory as the Spirits rallied after losing game one of the series, coming from a 3 to 0 deficit in the last inning, all with two outs!!Chris Lewis raged out of the box on a routine ground ball to second that would have been an easy out 99% of the time, thus catching the Cardinals second baseman off guard and an errant throw kept the game alive and cut the lead to, 3 to 1.Brian Hackney played hero with a two-out shot to right-centerfield to tie the game at 3 to 3 and John Hefner's double for the ages scored two more as the Spirits held on to win 5 to 4 behind a solid outing by House.Read all about the big game with commentary by Spirits manager, Shawn Lee throughout this long-winded story by clicking the link below.Hats off to the guys and please stay tuned for additional game stories that have not yet been posted, along with fall ball game stories all posting soon.We couldn't have made it a season without our terrific team supporters, including all of our gals and our kids at home who allowed us to be on the ballfield several times per week, and to the area businesses that donated to the Spirits organization to help keep us afloat.
