Tim Olson joins the Spirits (35+) with some great pedigree. Olson was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota and was 25 years old when he broke into the big leagues on May 30, 2004, with the Arizona Diamondbacks. After spending his time at St. Mary’s Central High School in Bismarck, North Dakota, Olsen went on to Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, KS and then later to the Gators of Florida in Gainesville. He was then drafted by the Diamondbacks in the 7th round of the 2000 amateur draft and signed with the team in June, 2014. He later played with the Colorado Rockies.
Tim brings added depth and great experience to the club and the team looks forward to his leadership as well as his skills in the infield and from the plate. His arm will be an additional tool for Spirits pitching as they battle for a season and league title.
