Theodore “Teddy” Turner joins the Spirits Open (18+) squad as an additional pitching weapon from Kingwood, TX, just north of Houston, TX. Teddy has playing experience at positions including 3B, SS, OF, and he also pitched for Kingwood High School as a varsity level team member for two seasons prior to graduating in 2012.
Turner’s collegiate experience took him to Trinity University in San Antonio, TX for four years where he pitched for 3 seasons. Teddy was part of the Tigers National Championship class, the school’s first in its history back in 2016. Turner proved to be a solid asset, filling in for the Spirits Open (18+) that went on to win the 2017 NTABL Open American League Championship. Teddy picked up the save in relief, going 4 innings while allowing one earned run on one hit, walking two, and striking out 6.
Teddy’s parents still live in Kingwood, TX and also has two sisters that each reside in the Houston area.
