Patrick Bilgere returns to the Dallas Spirits as a seasoned veteran and as one of the club’s hardest hitters. Patrick is a utility man, capable of playing any position solidly in including positions around the infield and since the past season, has transitioned into the Masters (45+) starting catcher for 2016.
Patrick brings clutch hitting and solid game knowledge to the ball club and can be relied upon for game scenario decisions as well as assisting in coaching when needed. Bilgere played at both Bishop Lynch and Richardson Berkner High School and went on to play at the college level, performing as a two-time All-Conference player.
He stepped his game to the next level spending two years professionally playing in the Austrian Baseball League with the St. Peter Wild Boys as well as the Tulln Ravens. He later spent time as a high school coach at Jesuit College Preparatory in Dallas (5 years), and also with John Horn High School in Mesquite (2 years).
Home grown here in Dallas, Patrick is married to wife, Jennifer and resides with her as well as their 3 sons (Joey, Jack, and Payton) in downtown Dallas, TX.
