Pitcher, DJ Carrasco returns to the Spirits, bringing with him 8 plus years experience playing Major League Baseball. Carrasco was drafted by the Texas Rangers in 1995 from Hayward High School out of Hayward, CA. He was again drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in 1997 from Pima Community College in Tucson, AZ.
DJ spent 9 seasons in the big leagues with stints in Kansas City, Chicago (White Sox), Pittsburgh, Arizona, and the New York Mets. A solid pitcher with a great bat, DJ will be relied upon to both close and start games when available, as well as provide the Spirits with some additional offensive punch and power from the plate.
Carrasco’s experience and knowledge of the game will be an asset to all players, and the club looks forward to his contributions on the field and in the dugout.
