(June 2, 2016 – Dallas, TX) The Dallas Spirits Baseball Club was fooled once again into thinking there would be baseball to play. Following 20 days of rain falling in May, the trend continued into June. Local weather seemed to indicate a window of opportunity where the rain would let up and the team took advantage of a location move to turf at Jesuit College Preparatory, however that wasn’t the case.
For those players who braved the drive in Dallas traffic, a scamper to the batting cages was about all the baseball the teams were going to see for the evening. After about an hour straight of down-pouring rain, the teams chose to throw in the towel (figuratively and literally) to any chance of play.
